Default poly bushings in front sway bar d bracket

hey guys, obviously i know the benefit of poly bushings in allot of the suspension components as opposed to the traditional rubber; however, curious if there is any real gain from replacing the oem rubber in the d bracket from a 99 civic si front sway. just in the process of moving everything over to my hatch and just curious about this and if its even worth the $20. thanks in advance.

They won't last nearly as long as OEM rubber will, and will eventually squeak. Stay with the rubber bushings.

so not worth the $20 it take it. is the 26mm front sway going to be a good compliment to the 24mm rear?

will hard rubber bushings still have the longevity rather then the poly ones?

Probably. Despite marketing claims, poly DOES NOT last longer than rubber. Both will dry rot eventually, but it happens to poly much sooner. And when it does, it basically disintegrates into dust.

This is my old poly shifter bushing after only 4-5 years, and this is a bushing that doesn't move or have anything moving in it. Imagine how one with a sway bar twisting around inside of it will wear.

jesus im kinda shocked... i personally havent seen that kind of damage. the only other place i have poly is in the front lcas where the shock fork bolts bc the oem bushing was shot... this now has me concerned about replacing it with poly

You won't see me ever using poly bushings again if I can help it. I have HardRace hard rubber bushings in my garage waiting to be installed.
