Run magnaflow or dynomax mufflers (or similar muffler with some 'stuffing')... flowmaster from my experience with four cylinders sounds like *** as well.

My car is straight piped with just a muffler and it doesn't sound bad... it is loud under boost... but it's loud anyways... it all depends on what you like...

Just make sure you get at least a 16" resonator(this helps quiet the exhaust). I had an EF sedan with a stock header, 2 1/2 inch piping all the way back with an 18" resonator, then a crappy stock type muffler with a 2 1/2 outlet....that wasnt loud at all!

If you're in cali, its illegal tho to run no catalytic converter.

You know what a weedwacker sounds like? or a chainsaw? pretty much the same sound, very high pitch.

cat converter will only make it a tad bit quiet. You need a resonator, regarless if you have a cat or not.
