Default Hesitation After Warm-Up H22A

I just dropped in a JDM H22.

The engine runs great when cold good up to the point where the temperature guage is at the half-way mark. Shortly after it gets to the half way point for a while the engine has hesitation on acceleration. Its almost like the engine is missing or something.

Ideas? I am thinking plug wires. They are on order.

Also, I am using my old H23 tranny. Would a good lightweight flywheel compensate for the longer gears? My thinking is that if I had a lighter flywheel, it could get through the gears faster.

check if your ECT (engine coolant temp sensor) or your IAT (intake air temp sensor). i think the ICM (ignition control module) could also be a culprit.

Would either one of these sensors throw a code? I guess there is no way to troubleshoot them other than replacing them is there?

I am hoping its just the wires...the wires are the ones from Japan, I am sure they are shitty, one of the boots on the distributor side is cracked a little even, I am thinking the wires are expanding or some crazy **** when once they get hot. It didnt do it before, so I may swap those sensors off of my old engine.

hymm.....weird.....i also have a little crack on the distributor side of one of my wires and seem to have a hesitation problem somewhat like what youre describing BUT mine has seemed to go away lately. seriously, i dont think jdm h22's like very hot weather. i live in az and the car ran GREAT when i first got it back in late april, not quite HOT yet. then it slowly started acting up. well its been raining the past few days and has cooled off to about 80 during the day at some times and its back to running like a bat out of hell!! but try those sensors and see if that helps because i might still have a problem that just decided to hide for a bit because i was about to find it. lol

I have the same problem, i talked to a few people i got a diffrent answer from everyone. But i looked at a post on the integra side and the gsr's have the same problem. There were a couple lude guys too who said that it's the distirbutor cap. They said something about if u take it off and look at it there is some red stuff in there. I dont remeber. But they all were saying their cars run fine in cooler weather like at night but during the warm days they are sucky

I am not liking it. It is pissing me off pretty bad. It is pretty sluggish when I need to get a good start or going up a hill in 3rd gear or something like that. I will take a look at the distributor cap, but I think what they are talking about is diagnosing whether or not the bearing is going out in the distributor.
