so my rex has a no start condition, i gotta b16 obd1 conversion. i figured at first it was my fuel pump so i change it with a walbro pump that i wanted n e ways....still no start. im definetely getting fuel (disconnected line to rail and turned key) and my FPR gauge goes up a lil passed 40psi when cranking a couple seconds. o btw, that freakin walbro pump sounds like a champ compared to tha stock one. anyways i took my spark tester, the one with the lil light in the middle, and had my bro crank the engine...the light was not consistantly bright... to my knowledge it should have a fairly brighty light throughout each spark from plug......oh and i have msd wires and fairly new spark plugs. im thinking dizzy .....i wanna drive this car already!!!! lemme know if u wanna see pics of the fuel pump installation too...

Sounds like dizzy or you have you plugs wires on wrong.....i went through the same problem a couple of week ago..

 

No engine codes present, im using a td-68u or td-44u (same). i havnt removed the plug wires since it was running... it was running very rich tho. i just pulled the plugs out and they are completely black. i gotta new dizzy and im bout to install it..

 

it was my dizzy!!!! hahaha oh man does it run like a champ now u definitely need consitant spark to fire it up!!! thanx guys
