Default hasport mounts

I just ordered and installed the B series race (medium stiffness) mounts into my EG. The mounts appear to be very high quality as one would expect. I found fitment to be excellent as well.

I purchased these to get away from the sloppiness of my aging OE mounts. I knew that vibration would be a sacrifice in order to tighten up my drivetrain. The car certainly does vibrate at idle and low speed, which I can accept. One thing I notice however is that there is slight "clunk" at most shifts beyond granny shifting. I can feel it as well as hear it. Is this normal? I expected very smooth and crisp shifting from this product with no play. Everything is tight I have double checked.

BTW I am not running torque mounts, as mine were destroyed. Hasport tells me that with all 3 of their mounts installed, torque mounts only serve as protection in an accident. I do plan to install new TM when I can.

Input appreciated!

FWIW, I used HAsport mounts for years and the shifting/clutch engagement was very smooth and solid feeling with no "clunk" whatsoever. Even when I used just the rear mount it was very good.

Now that the engine is mounted so tightly and torque is transferred more directly, it may be that it has uncovered a problem with another component that is not tight (clutch, axle etc. wearing out is my guess).
