Default Performance chips or tuners

Sorry guys im new to civics I am a orginally an american muscle type of guy. Got a sweet deal on a 01 civic ran great only 21587 miles on the car. I already put ram air (injen) dc headers and a hks bolt on cat back exhaust. I am look to add more performance to my car with out doing a motor swap. I was trying to look into a performance chips and tuners any advice? Also my car is a auto tranny.

Sell it and buy another car if you want something decent without a swap. Also auto tends to have bad transmissions.

Can that be verified, or is that just what the cluster says on it?

Turbo is about your only choice, then. Any build that will see reasonable gains is going to set you back a few grand.

Garbage. Buy K-Pro or leave it stock.

He cant with an auto tranny. He'd have to have a dual ecu set up that consisted of one running the tranny and one running the motor if he really wanted kpro. plus, hondata wont support it, ive tried.

Ah, you'd definitely know this being you're AT and all. To be completely honest, it's reasonably untouched territory for me. I've never really looked into turbo kits. It doesn't interest me. Making terrible investments isn't something that I've made a habit out of. (thankfully)

Thanks for clearing that up, George.

+1.

You can't get much more power out of a D without turboing or k swapping that bitch.

With that said if you choose to turbo, you'll risk having a lot of problems because of your auto tranny.

If you really want more power you have 3 options as far as i can see:

1) tranny swap + turbo = mmm.
2) tranny sway + k swap = mmm.
3) buy another car haha

I don't know why you guys say these auto trannys won't last. It depends on how you drive that piece.

My car I sometimes play with it and hope for the tranny to die out. It's running on almost 102XXX w/ no tranny maintenance and it's running perfect.

But your average I/H/E won't help out the car one bit, I would suggest you too do a Y8 IM swap then make a custom turbo for your car. Best bang for your bucks.

OR

Just spray for a little boost.

No problem Albert (check yo PM's if you dont remember this reference )

As for a H22 swap, its possible. Honestly, I was all for boosting my auto. I had most of the big dogs of the 7thgen community around my area (boost and NA) and were all close friends. In fact, they were the ones who convinced me to go boost. the only thing the deferred me was the EMS (which was the ONLY thing i didnt have from a complete kit) and i kept breaking other items on the car. I took that as a sign to NOT boost and GAVE my custom kit away. Yup, I gave away a complete turbo kit to a fellow 7thgen member.

In the end, you should do what makes you happy. If you want to boost it, do it. Just make sure you have the time and money to deal with problems to come (money wasnt an issue...it was time). plus, i think with the right upgrades to the transmission, it would beat a 5spd and hold boost better (having only 4 gears, you'd be in boost almost constantly depending on what snail you got. I had a T3 Super 60 .48ar) BUT thats opening up a while 'nother can of worms

H22 is possible. Read the builds. Someone has a H22 turbo. It's not updated anymore, but still it shows that it is possible.

I know somebody did the H22 swap.

If you want to put it this way, ANYTHING is possible.

I said "cant" because of the non-availability for swap compatible parts. And a lot has to be custom made.

So, for the OP, who appears to be a newbie. Do you think he is going to tackle the h22? I dont think so.
