auto tranny w/ headers and cat= tranny failure???
hey all just wondering, my friend has a 00 ex auto and won't swap to manual so he has most of the basic bolt ons but wants some more. now i've had a few other friends w/ auto civics that put headers and a freeflow cat on and ended up w/ a toasted tranny. is this a backpressure problem caused by the headers and cat or is this a myth. and mostlikely caused by another problem? just wondering because he'd really like to get some more goodies. anyone here have a auto w/ headers and a cat w/ no tranny probs?

nope, the headers, and cat will not cause this problem. its probably because, with the mods, they drive harder, straining tranny.
