Default b20 ecu

ok i had a ls/vtec before, and it blew on me. Then i swapped an all stock b20b without the vtec head on it without changing the ecu. I think im running on a p06 ecu right now. How do i tell what OBD the b20 is? it would be OBD2 right? and what ecu would make the car run smooth, cause when it idles it seems to bounce around 750-1000rpm range. A p75 would work fine? and what OBD is that? thanks guys.

the b20 should be obd2. But the ecu should be a p75 regardless of the obd..Just make sure if your car is obd2, you get the corresponding step down harness.

if you were running a P06 i would think that you're already obd1, so just get the obd1 LS ecu and everything should run fine. I have a 2000 b20b running obd0 with a stock pr4 ecu and it runs fine

or u could just go the chipped route and get a chipped ecu with a stock b20 map that way when u put the head on all ud have to change is the chip.

dont use the b20 ecu either, its for auto trannys, car wont start. just use a p75. im runnin obd1 ls on my 98 b20. keep hold of your ecu that you have right now so if and when you run vtec, you'll have the ecu for it
