ECU Swap
I have a 37820-P0J-L00 ECU and i wanted to know if its possible to swap it for a 37820-P0B-A01 ECU because i want to chip my ECU but my P0J is not compatible.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Chip the P0B ECU with what?
AFAIK the P0B Accord ECU does not have the ability to be chipped & tuned. Unless you are talking one of those EBay chips that jacks up your fuel injector pulse width and advances your ignition. Other than that it I've heard they don't really do much for your engine.
IMO You would be better off getting an OBD1 civic/integra ECU chipped and dyno tune your car. At least that way you know that the fuel and ignition maps aren't going to do any long term damage.

A chipped OBD1 ECU can be configured to do pretty much anything you want. Set rev limiters, disable/enable speed limiter, add/remove EGR, IACV, A/C and P/S. You name it, I'm sure there is probably a way to add it, remove it, enable it and or disable it in a chipped OBD1 Civic/Integra ECU.
But I'm with gibsanez on this one. If all you want to chip your ECU for is to remove the speed limiter. It's a waste of time. Your not going to get your Accord doing much more than 120mph. There aren't too many race tracks that have a long enough straight away or with a grade steep enough to get you over 120mph.
What are the current mods on your car? Have you upgraded any of the components required for safe handling of your vehicle above 120mph? Suspension, brakes and tires? I wouldn't want anyone to become another street racing statistic.
