Default Honda prelude lock problems

Hello everyone,
im having a problem with my 97 preludes door locks. I went to take it into get an alarm system installed on it. The guy called me to inform me that the passenger side wont lock or unlock. If you are in the passenger seat and try to lock/unlock it from that door it does absolutely nothing. No noise. However, from my drivers side i can unlock and lock it fine from my side. This has caused the alarm remote to be unable to unlock the car, however, it can lock it just fine. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what part may need to be replaced?
Thank you.

You'll probably need to pull the door panel and start testing the electrical parts of the button.

It's the motor failing. Had both of mine replaced about 2 weeks ago, works perfect now.

Same exact thing happened to my '97. The motor is probably going bad, but I just sprayed some WD-40 into the latch mechanism while locking and unlocking the door with the key to assist the motor. It works just fine now.

Glad that worked out for you. I tried doing that and it didn't help at all, so I had to replace the motor.
