rs=no vtec(unless swapped)no moonroof/(base model)
GSR only vtec

the MFR likes to go out PS floor leak and trunk leak
theres is a decent amount of aftermarket for the DA not as much as a civic tho

i have a 92 GS and It came with a B18A1 Non Vtec DOCH 1.8L. Its to easy to put a set of ARP Head studs in and install a B16 Head To add VTEC. Will just need some minor wiring and a Few small Mods to the new head.

thanks for the info guys, if y'all have anything else to post up that would be of some help to me, plz add it on

I used a golden eagle lsvtec kit, b16 head, arp head studs, grs timing belt, grs water pump, eagle H beam rods w/arp rod bolts, p30 ecu and a couple of 12 packs to build mine. let me know if you have any other questions I might be able to help you with.

well getting this car first requires selling my trans am. and this would be my first serious build. i'm on cars #6 and 7 right now. never have i seriously modded a car:
95 civic -- intake
96 civic -- exhuast (axle back)
94 supra -- turbo and fmic (took to shop and had the work done)
03 silverado -- bone stock
99 Infiniti G20 -- bone stock
02 trans am -- bone stock
87 civic -- bone stock and ghetto...

and now i'm just hoping to sell the WS6 so i can buy this teg. i know teg's have crazy potential and even tho i'm nissan to the core, i want to learn honda a lil better

they already mentioned the basics, with the floor leaks and trunk leaks, the car is just basic, but its a light model, luckily its a 92 so it has a little bit nicer front/rear bumper, interior, and tail lights. There is a good amount of aftermarket support for DA's as well

If theres no sunroof and the trunk does leak.. it's probley the tail light seal gaskets or the weather stripping around the trunk. There's a few right up's ither on here or g2ic that detail how to fix the floor leak which is common on most every G2.
as far as vtec.. how many miles does this car have?? Iv seen plenty of lightly modded non vtec b series mop up b16's and gsr's.
if you decide on a vtec head I would def look into at least a stockish rebuild on the block with some ARP hardware.
either way hondas are very reliable as we all now,The g2 Im building know was parked with 210k of not very well maint. miles. good luck with buy.

I have a RS and a GS, I love the sunroof. The good thing about the RS is that it doesn't have ABS, how i dislike ABS...
