Default LEAKING OIL FROM FILTER HOUSING!! HELP!!

so... my "new" Rex is leaking oil. Aside from pissing me off and being an inconvenience because I have to keep adding oil, the location of where the oil is coming from is horrendous. It is leaking from being the oil filter housing... now here is where the dilemma comes in to play. I have a third gen ZC DOHC motor. I know the D16A1 is very similar in design, so here comes my next questions. A: is this oil filter housing removable or integral with the block? B: would the D16A1 be similar enough in design that [if it is possible] I could buy and use the oil filter housing for that car?
Any, real, advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Do you mean the part with the oil cooler that the filter screws onto?

what kinda filter do you have ? cause sum are cheap and they don't hold the pressure and they leak , another tip is when you put the oil filter lub up the gasket with sum oil to make it seal better

Yes. That part with the bypass hose for oil cooling. Is it removable and/or repairable?

Bosch filter. But it doesn't matter what kind I have because that is not where the leak is coming from. It is coming from behind base of the oil filter housing. I'll take a pic tomorrow if I have time to clarify any confusion....

Do I have to go Honda for that f*cking gasket? Cuz everywhere I have called, even my tuning shops, has no listing for the part. It's driving me nuts... :/

check and see if its double gasketed. it could be as simple as removing a stuck on gasket.

I think I must be severely misunderstood... there is no way this is the oil filter. It is NOT double gasketed. It is not a cheap filter. The part is called an oil filter housing. The part with spindle [that the oil filter screws on to] with the oil bypass and cooling ports. It is leaking from there....

I have found that is best way to get parts like these is to find the part number yourself, then just ask for the specific part at the parts counter.

yes you have to go and get it from the dealer...its not your oil filter but is called a oil cooler o-ring (91316-PE7-730) that is located between the oil filter housing and the block...its #19 in the diagram below for a d16a1 motor...when this o-ring goes bad it starts leaking a ton of oil and at first i thought my block was cracked but it turned out to be the o-ring...!!!

Op as you can see from the exploded view posted above yes it comes apart and it is an easy fix, just as an added precaution I would get new hose or hoses for the water side of the cooler/housing while I was in there.
