Default Sticking calipers?

Well I took a look at my rear brake pads today. My rear right pad is pretty worn-down compared to the left. The left ones got a lot more meat left than the right ones do. I'm not sure what couldve caused this but a sticking caliper might be the verdict. What can i do to avoid this in the future? Rebuild the caliper? TIA.

check the parking brake cable, maybe one has a higher tension then the other.

Thanks. Pardon the ignorance, but how do I do that?

Hmm...just fingering through the Helm's, it looks like you can NOT adjust them separately. But still check them cause one of them might be "stuck".

Take out the center console and at the end near the rear seats, you will see an adjusting nut and 2 cables going to the rear of the car. Pull the parking brake up and let it down, and see if you notice any sticking by either cables.

NOTE: I've never have had any parking brake problems on my ITR, but in my last car, it was a re-occuring nightmare...so much so I just stopped using it altogether.

Or you can do it another way:

jack the rear tires up, pull the parking brake all the way up and then release it, spin the rear wheels with your hand, if one of the wheels is more difficult to spin then the other then that parking brake is "sticking".

Well i just pulled my center console. I'm not too clear on what i'm looking for but i'll try my best to describe what i saw. I pulled the console, and checked the cables while the e-brake was up. When the e-brake was up, there was equal tension on both cables and the cable bracket(i think) was pretty much straight- going perpendicular to the cables. When I would put the e-brake down, the right side cable wouldn't pull back as much as the left would, the bracket wouldn't be straight and would pull more down on the left, and the side that pulls less while the ebrake is down, is the same side where the brake pad is worn. So did i do this correctly and find the verdict of the extra worn brake pad? Thanks.

I had this same problem on my GSR. The slide pin needed to be lubricated. I would replace pads, and clean and lubricate slide pins. Hope that helps.

Yes clean the slide pins and more importantly the anchor bracket hole the pin goes into.. WD-40 and a wire brush should do the trick.
