Do aftermarket plug wires make a difference??
Thinking about getting some magnecor wires for my b16. Is there much of a difference using them? Cause theyre might be better thing to buy for $90. Thnks
I've got 'em. Yes, they do make a difference. They're thick and red!
I needed a new set, and they're fairly inexpensive. They certainly won't hurt. Check out their website - they have a good deal of useful info on there. But like the other person said, unless you have tons o' mods, ie, msd igntion, etc., there won't be a butt dyno difference.

I had magnecor wires and made my idle fluctuate when I had my car smogged by state ref...He advised me to put the stock back in...worked fine after that. Didnt notice any power loss or anything. Stock one works. If it aint broke...yata, yata yata...
Yeah, definitely no power increase as mentioned above. But it might help in emissions a bit, and maybe a smoother idle. But I've never used these before, so I really couldn't tell you from experience....
Don't get them. My car has died on the road several times with them because they POP OFF the distributor and the spark plugs.
Both of my cars now use brand new OEM spark plug wire sets -- they own.

Hey Dustin let me guess:Magnecor wires right?
Same thing happens to me, I can't stand them.
I run NGK wires now and I love them.Fit exactly
like OEM.

Had Magnecors b4 - stupid universal design doesn't "cap" on. Then went to Viteks -and damn, almost worse wires made ever. Breaks apart on you. Now running NGK - nice OEM fit

Reason why they pop of is because of your old gasket seals, replace them when you get your new plugs and everything will be fine. That is how I fixed my problem with the MSD wires.

plugs and wires are kind of a useless upgrade. plugs, your preferance. wires oem or equivilant. think wires have dick to do w/ spark its the same sized core w/ more insuation. however i do like how msd wires are wound. quite conductive.
ignition **** helps, you definatly feel the difference (least i did, however i notice the cars performance fluctuating with every 2* outside air temp :shrug
i have acell wire on now, hyper spark or some crap ****. 7.5mm i believe, they're useless. always poping off the dizzy
