i know this get asked alot but i cant seem to find a place were it tells me what i realy need to do this swap. i have a 93 Del Sol d16z6. what do i need to do this swap. So far i know i need engine (obviously), tranny, wire harnes, mounts and ecu from the c5. But what shift, and axel do i use? and what else will i be in need?

 

you need to grab a shift linkage from a del sol vtec they are hard to find so you will prolly have to go to honda and see about getting it and just grab some axles from a del sol vtec ,teg nothing major

 

ok so its fearly easy swap... the only problem i would have is to get the shift linkage? that is all i would need?

yes, you WILL need del sol linkage they are different.

 

how about the trans will the b18c5 give me any problems?

its just out with the old in with the new... theres nothing that i should know befor? fabrication that maybee will need to be done or something?

 

nopes. it might fit a lil weird but beyond that it'll be easy. i went from a d15 to b16 and its simple. i needed a new upper i think it was radiator hose.

 

there is no need to fabricate anything. and u asked about axles: u can use ANY B-series Civic/Del Sol/Integra axles.

also different A/C compressor bracket and Power Steering pump bracket if you are going to reuse them.

 

what brakets do i use? because im from PR and the heat her is no joke...

 

question: the tranny on the B18 is cable and my car is hydro, what are my options?

 

You'd need the Del Sol VTEC A/C Bracket or the one from a CRV. Both are the same bracket.

 

if the tranny is a cable tranny u can either sell that tranny and pick up a b series hydro(which is wat i would do), or u can get a cable to hydro converson kit for your car...

get a conversion kit on ebay and tran depends on how short u want ur gears ls is the longest geared trans b16 is the shortest all b seris trans will change u may have to cutomize ur shift linkage and 95-00 teg axles del sol axles will not work they didnt make a b seris delsol i dont think but if u can find a b seris hydro trans id get it

 

there are a number of companies who make the conversion kit, but id go with a hydro tranny, and they did make a del sol with a b16, u will need to get shift linkage from that model(si model i believe) to fit.
