Another OBD1 conversion question.........and yes I did SEARCH
Okay pin A6 on the obd0 connector is for the purge cutoff solenoid valve. On a conversion sub harness I've looked at, it did not have a wire going from this location to the corresponding location to the obd1 ecu, which is pin A20. also on a friend's harness that the obd1 conversion that is built in like I am doing, he does not have this wire hooked up and both setups work fine.
I am just wondering why some write ups say to connect this and some say do not, and both seem to run the same. the searches I have come up with do not give a definitive answer as to if this makes a difference or not.

I am pretty sure that the cutoff solenoid valve is only found on the GSR intake manifold. If yopu don't have a GSR, don't use it.
