H23 motor swap help
really not trying to burst your bubble or be mean, but if you have no clue how to swap an engine whatsoever i wouldnt try to swap an H motor for your first one. theyre a bit more difficult than say a B engine or another D engine swap. but if you think you can, go for it! thats just my .02
a couple things youll need for any swap: block, head, tranny, intake manifold, a correct throttle cable, axles, shift linkage, ecu. theres other things you need too but theres plenty of info on here about what you need for what swap. good luck with whatever you choose to do!

i also have a person to guide me who has done all this fun before. so i have the prelude thats all put together. other than what i have right there, what do i need
You will need to read the 2 links HondaPartsHero posted. The H23 swap is the same as the H22A swap, minus some wiring. You're also going to need an aftermarket mount kit and axles (either custom or modified ones discussed in that 2nd links H.P.H. posted).
i have a prelude thats all together. but i just need to get it running. will the prelude axles work? and will the exhaust fit under my car? now as of today my clutch went out in my civic and i need it to drive every day. anyone know where i could order a cheap clutch?
