Stupid but yes,,,, there it is.

Ok,,, I kind of did something really stupid. But it really was not my fault but I won't go into it. But if someone can help me out I would really appreciate it.
I was jump starting my wifes 93 Cavalier from my Accord. The jumper cables were "accidentally" attached criss cross for about 10 seconds. That is,, Accord + to Cavalier - etc. Well,,, the Cavalier does not want to do anything now. Totally fried. Lights but no action from starter.
So,,,, does anyone have an idea where to start looking on the Cavalier?? Are there some diodes on the alternator that may have been fried?? The battery did not blow up or anything so I assume that its still OK.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check tosee ifiyou fried your fusible link. There is usualy a fuse near the posative battery terminal or in the fusebox under the hood. Look for a fuse with a large amp rating, usually 80 AMPS or higher
Also check for a fuseable link at the starter. Seen that on some older GM products. If the key was on, you could have fried the ECM on the Crapalier. Good luck.
Thanks for all the suggestions people.
Will dig in this weekend.
PS: I am looking over the RSX type s for a new car next year. The tension is building. Then I can take the Accord and use it as a winter car.
