Default Which rod bearing set do I get when buying oem? confused

The dealer has different color codes for connecting rod bearings as well as for the main bearings. How do I know which one I get.
Also for the main bearings it says 5 are required. I ask because when you go and buy like acl bearings etc it shows one top and one bottom main bearing (im refering to if you go on ebay and you search it shows the whole kit but just one set of main bearings). Am i wrong here? help thanks

Also what bearings would you guys buy if it were you. ACL, King, OEM, I not doing anything race im just changing my rings and bearings might as well.

I searched but nothing came out. thanks

if you want to run OEM bearings you should read the service manual to get the proper size (color) bearings.

if you want to save some money you can run ACL or King bearings but you should measure the clearance as they only come in a standard size.

i personally run King bearings and they work fine.

on the side of each bearing there should be a color on it, if not then u need a manual to teach you how to get the correct color. GL

You do not run acl bearings because your block has never been worked on. You don't recommend acls because you may have used them. Also, trying to discern bearing colors on the side of the bearings is not going to get you very far.

You either read the codes on the block, crank, and rods to determine your current size or you have the block and rod bearing races, and crank jounals measured by a machinist with tools accurate to better than .0001". Next, you decide on the clearance and choose the bearings that give you said clearance.
