Fuel Pump Problem?
I was driving my CRX on the freeway, hit a bump and my car just bogged out and died on me. I take it to the local mobile gas station and they say I need a new fuel pump.
After the guy realized i couldn't afford $375 to fix it. He says to fill my gas tank up and and i need to keep it half full at all times because the fuel pump might now be able to suck the gas when it gets really low. But he also said I need to get a new fuel pump because the one I have is damaged.
Any advice out there?

the fuel pump sits on top of the tank in closest to the rear bumper. It is possible that you knocked the pump off of it's little pedestal and is now laying on the bottom of your tank, it could be that you only need to re set it on the pedestal. Also, a new Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump which is an upgrade over stock is only 100 for the kit for your specific car, then you can put it in yourself it isnt that hard.
