Default Wheels for my Daily Driver 5th Gen

my daily driver is a NBP 98 SH and the wheels that came on the car were hideous to say the least.

im gonna put a new set on the car in the next week or so.
just wanted some views on which to go with, my co-workers/friends dont seem to be of any help b/c they split the poll down the middle.

both are the same size/ width/ offsets.

pictures are MS Painted for accuracy on drop/lipkit/spoiler to get the best idea possible of my car.

any input will help.
thanks, matt.

ps. i've never had colored wheels before and i was just thinking it would be a nice change of pace from my TL and 944.

thats b/c "neither" is not an option for me so its redundant to make it an answer.

but critisizm(and sarcasm) are welcome as well

I hail from the Ramblings Forum on Acurazine, nothing somebody says about wheel choice is gonna break me, i promise lol.

i saved DiscountTireDirect's Prelude template a while back. i basically throw on whatever wheels i want from any wheel site.

ps. the second choice are the wheels i used to have on my TL.

as shown here..

Personally, I think Preludes should only have 5-spoke rims. It's more aesthetically pleasing. If it has to be one of the two, I'd say the 7-spoke Rota Grid/Volk TE37 wannabes look better. Leave the wagon wheels for wagons. However, the wheel sizes are important, so you should list those.

RudeMoron, at least you spelled everything correctly that time. But hey, that's funny coming from someone who prides themselves enough on being rude to actually put it in their name.

5 spokes are ok... might as well use the SH wheels if im doing that.

The Drag DR-35's are 7 spoke wheels. Not copies of the 6 spoke volks and rotas you described.

After my past cars. I don't think my wheel choices and cars have went in the wrong direction. And I think I could make either of these work.

I appreciate your honesty though.

Oh yeah, and gold/bronze is a fad that should end.

What's with people hating gold and bronze all the sudden? I like it because I like it, you wont find me wearing pre-frayed clothes that are bright colors and investing stock in hair gel, I try not to follow fads. Never knew gold/bronze was a fad though, I hardly see it where I live. =/

I like the gold wheels though, I just think the color looks good with a black car but after all I was rocking black w/machined lip for a long time so maybe since I was over that I'm leaning more towards the gold.

^^^?

im with minilogo, if anything black w/ machined lip is more over-used then anything.
i dont believe i've ever even seen gold wheels in person.

a few bronze on maybe some Subies.. but other then that everyone here has silver or black.....

Enkei RPM2:

or Work VS-XX

Edit: Sorry, I didn't read the thread or see the poll. I'd go with the Gold 10 spokes.

Kronn 98SH has been very helpful and nice. Most helpful person on the lude section. He knows he **** so go blow yourself.

All those wheels suck. In total agreement. stick to something stock and not ricey.

so now wheels are ricey? riding around on coils/springs with sunken in stock wheels is rice. stock wheels are for winter and long trips.

all critisizm and opinions are welcome.. but saying "stick to stock" isnt really useful..

Work vs-xx are nice wheels but dropping 1500-2000 on wheels for my DD/work vehicle is dumb.
im open to differnent styles and brand's of wheels. but if im dropping 2k on something... its on my 944.. not my honda.

the money i spend on my 944 isnt blowing money either its money put aside for maintanance and repair cost. $$$$$$
old porsche dont not = cheap parts lol.

but if i am gonna splurge and spend alot of money, i'd rather have it on my nicest car. my prelude is fun. but i dont wanna put wheels that cost half as much as the car itself on it

im even considering going with other honda/acura 17" OEM wheels

you can pick up a set of stock rims of another honda/acura for alot cheaper. they are way better quality then most aftermarket wheels.
(exceptions ones that cost alot)

im looking around.. the options are limited for the size and bolt pattern..

there is RSX, TSX, 2nd Gen TL and some accord stuff...

those are all i can think of at the moment.
the ones in the picture above are the 05-06 RSX-S wheels right?

HFP are out of the question b/c they are damn near 2k after putting tires on them.
