What color?

Sh!ft has a build thread that shows his spray can black bay.
He did a decent job.

The 'art' of spray can painting is pretty simple - remove all you can, clean bay really well, clean again... again ... again, lightly sand, mask off everything you couldn't remove, clean again, primer, paint, done!

1. Remove everything you don't want painted
2. Spray with Simple Green (to keep the eco-hippies happy) and pressure wash. You may have to do this several times.
3. Sand and/or scuff all painted surfaces of bay. If there is any rattle can paint you will have to sand it off.
4. Rinse and wipe down bay again.
5. Prime bay. I like 2k high build primer, it hides lots of imperfections. At least 2 coats.
6. Wet sand bay with at least 400 grit to smooth primer (2k lays kinda rough)
7. Rinse and blow dry, try not to actually touch the prepped surface.
8. Paint with color. Use enough coats to get good coverage. IMO single stage is fine for bays, so you won't need a clear.

A bit of dust, oh well.

Materials minus the $60 gun were about $175.
