ENGINE BAY PAINTING!
i just picked up a sweet hatch, all new paint cept for the bay. its black, so matchin color isnt a biggie, but the bay is just flat black primer and i wanna hit it up with some gloss and clearcoat. i had done this on my gsr and used krylon, came out beautiful but where i painted over the epoxy to seal the seems it ended up gettin soft and sticky cuz of the paint.... has anyone ever done this and know of a paint that wont eat up that epoxy? somethin durable? thanks for the input

you might want to try high temp paint they use on valve covers, etc.... If i were u, i would keep the flat black, looks sick in my opinion. Glossy looks

Re: ENGINE BAY PAINTING! (CALIdelsolSIR)
yea i kinda like it when the bay matches the exterior, if i had the choice id would have got it painted all at the same time, makes the bay look smooth and clean, specially when its all emptied out. i just actually started cleaning the car and takin a good look at it for the first time, i just got it last night. its got a primer on now that doesnt seem to be getting soft so ill hit it w/ some of that again and clear it. thanks for the reply
