Icon3 2 of header pipes not getting hot

So i'm almost done with my h23 to h22 swap and i started it up and 2 of my header pipes werent glowing and werent hot, i was hoping i didnt burn my valves when i started it and rev'd it without a downpipe and exhaust on. i also have not finished hooking up my vtec, not sure if that has to do with it, and i am running a p13 ecu,

MUCH HELP NEEDED

thx,

Which 2?

could be different scenarios, but glowing header don't sound right at all.

ok its the left 2 that arent getting hot, and theyre new stainless steel headers, the right 2 dont glow, they got an orangish tint or light red when they heat up, the other 2 stay completely normal.

Does your engine run even? I had a case when one of the injectors was not powered so no burning mixture. The result was three header pipes where different colour than the last one and the engine was thumping.

yup, that was what I meant. It looks like the engine has some lean conditions on these two cylinders which cause pipes glowing.

yes the engine starts and remains running, sounds like its bogging out a bit, but i think thats because some of my vacuum hoses arent hooked up right, and would the vtec not being wired cause 2 of the pipes not getting hot

I dont think vtec should have anything to do with that.

yea vtec wouldn't cause cylinders to fire...

how bout you take a picture of these so called glowing headers for us. When i first swapped over my h22 one cylinder wasn't firing cause the injector was clogged.

vtec has nothing to do with it.

what rpm does the car idle at?

do you hear any pinging?

ok they dont nessesarily glow, the crome turns into a light copper color. not like a bright red, but yeah i will definitely send u a picture after i get off work.

and how much would it cost to unclog my injectors if thats the case

or just buy new ones?

if it is stainless...you are probably just seeing it change colors due to the heat....which is normal. rc engineering will clean the injectors farily cheap.

all i did was pull the injector that wasnt firing cleaned off some of the buildup and soaked it in gas. seemed to do the trick.

if its idling smooth is probably not the injectors. pull the spark plugs and see what they look like before you go cleaning injectors
