Fitting 89 integra ecu in to 89 si box

Default Fitting 89 integra ecu in to 89 si box

i got this 89 integra ecu and i heard you have to but it in your stock si box so it will bolt in correctly. but the integra ecu is like 2 cm longer then the si's box. so what do i do?

Just monkey it in. My P28 had a completely different bolt pattern, but I was able to secure it by attaching only a few of the nuts.

i found the ecu at a local junk yard in ohio

And i can't just put a few screws in because it won't even go in the box the width is ok but like i said it 2cm to long.

Ive done this mod before. It takes some patience. You have to transfer the internals over to the stock SI computer case, but the diagnostic light is in different spots, so you have to make a hole or "window" to view the light.

dude, it's not like it's going to flop around down there.
just put it under the carpet, it'll be fine.

Yeah you could do that, or just build something out of wood to hold it down. Ghetto rulz!

does the ecu make a difference in the si? can the ecu work being that it is for a dohc motor? I would like to know because I have access to a 89 ecu also. any side effects from the ecu? let me know, thanks.
