Is it possible to get a 3rd Gen prelude to hit the 12s without a turbo setup?
If you think it is, what parts would you use?

so youd go turbo but not N.O.S? whycome? i mean, either way you risk blowing your ish up. but either way, properly taken care of can produce good amounts of power.

yea, i feel ya. i dont think i'd ever use it on my car either, just one of the cheapest HP additives availible.

bout 1.5 hr drive. 1hr if you dont drive 65mph

 

head work
turbo camshafts
ported intake manifold
larger throttle body
t04e or t60-1 turbo (ball bearing is nice to have)
basic turbo kit set up (such as drag)
boost controller
tial wastegate
intank fuel pump
upgraded fuel lines (always a plus)
upgraded fuel rail
larger injectors - 550cc +
lower comp pistons
stronger rods
resleeved block
new rod and main bearings
slicks
good engine management system
and last but not least proper tuning on the dyno

of course you dont need all these things to run 12s. you could put your prelude on a serious diet and it would compensate for some of the modifications. these are just a few things that are good to have.
