how can i tell if my distributor is dying?
i'm not sure what happend today but after going down a nice straight away in the middle of nowhere i come to a turn that leads to my house and my car starts choking (btw its an 90 EX auto) and then i give it a bit of gas it sorta tried to get back up and go but it dies...
this is like the 5th time its done that... but most of the time it starts to choke all i do is give it a bit of gas and it goes away... what happend here?

also theres a little small melted spot on the distributor cap where there is a blank wire plug thing i.e. if there was a 5th cylinder

its definately the pump or i was thinking ignition area...
oh well i'll call the shop tommorow order the walbro pump and set the appointment for the H22
When I first got my Accord, it had the same problem... really hesitated once in a while and what not... I basically drove through the problem. It seems it was just some bad gas...it did have the problem one other time but again the car just had an issue for a little while.
I also have a hard time starting it but it's just like the hesitation issue... very vague, and no real link to anything...
