Water in my tail lights = alarm constantly going off?
So here's the deal. my car (88 civic std) has been sitting in my driveway since mid november, due to me blowing the motor. however i have kept the battery hooked up and on a charger periodically so that i can lock and unlock the car to get in and out of it since i keyless door handles. lately, i have noticed that my alarm will randomly start going off, and i have also noticed that my pass. tail light is about half full of water.
tonight it went off on me, and i thought i'd pull the bulbs out, and they were all wet, so i was wondering would the excessive amount of water around the bulbs cause my alarm to think some one was trying to short out something? it's not the best alarm, it's just an older prestige, but it does what i need it to do untill i get my self a nice viper w remote paging.
this has happened to me once before, and it turned out to be a faulty dome light switch on the drivers door (i came out to the car and the light was on even though it was switched to door mode and the doors were all shut tight). i'm going to replace the door switches on thursday to be safe, but what do you guys think?

If water gets in any of the door, hood, trunk pin switches they can cause them to falsly activate the alarm. One thing that works is to go buy some non-conductive electrical grease. Put it around the shaft and contact of the pin switch this will keep the water out and still allow the switch to function. (or go buy a better designed pin switch) I usually do both.
just curious, is it possible that my alarm might have been programed at one point to go off at certain times of day? i ask, because it's almost like clock work that every day it will go off between 12pm and 2 pm untill i de arm it for a while. does this everyday. i took out my door switches and looked at them, they were both dry, and i will replace them any ways but some times the switches don't even make the dome light go off when i open my door. only other thing i could think of is maybe my shock sensor is too sensitive? my fenders aren't bolted down, they're just chillin and my guess is maybe the wind makes them hit my car, setting the alarm off... it's so annoying! at this point i'm about to just lock the doors and use the alarm just to un lock them (since i have keyless door handles) and leave the blinky light flashing...
A shock sensor set to high can also cause this issue. Do you have a motion sensor installed? Those can also cause false alarms. Unplug the shock sensor and see if your problem goes awy.
No you can't program the alarm to go off at a certain time.
