Default 95 Gsr swap into 98 ek dx hatch problems

Okay so i bought a 1998 ek hatch from a guy with a 1995 gsr engine swap,99 gsr tranny swap. he told me the wiring is obd2a and so is the ecu(p72) so i can pass emissions with it. I live in oregon. anyway he also told me it just needs the other o2 sensor taken care of. well here's my question.

1. what is the easiest way to get this to stop having a CEL.(im new into the honda scene with moderate knowledge of the obd1 to obd2 stuff.

2. is there a way to get my ecu to ignore the other o2 sensor.

I know that maybe i could run the wiring or something to where the other o2 sensor should be but like i said im still lost and new to this.any help would be great. i love this car and its my new toy but i need to pass deq or i will have to sell it. please help

Not sure what you need to pass emissions but is it possible to pass there if you convert the ECU to OBD1? That would eliminate the need for the second O2. If not doesn't you car already have a second O2? If so then just get a catalytic converter put in to your exhaust system with a bung for an O2 in it then extend your wires to run the second O2 into the cat. Otherwise you could buy an O2 simulator (www.o2simulator.com) and "trick" the ECU into thinking you have one and bypass the check engine light for that sensor.

it is my understanding u can't put a obd1 ecu into a obd2 vehicle and go through deq emissions. because they can't plug into it the same. i also heard it was illegal to even run obd1 ecu in a obd2 car. im not positive but thats what i have heard. also it has the plug and everything for the second sensor but its just not installed. so like you said, i just need the cat with the spot for it? or do i need the exhaust from a obd2 gsr motor. its a confusing me a little lol sorry
