No speedo, vtec problem

Icon2 No speedo, vtec problem

I done a b16 swap and vtec does not work, it is wired up but the cel, throws a vtec code. The speedo works only part of the time, could this be my problem or not?, thanks

check the wiring for your speedo sensor on the transmission and make sure its not loose or not plugged in.

i know its plugged in, the speedo didnt work right on the d series either.

Yes, the speedometer must be working for VTEC to work. What codes are you throwing?

only code is the vtec code, does the oil pressure sensor on the vtec selonoid have to be hooked up?

if ur vtec solenoid is not connected ur vtec wont work..if thats wat u mean...

Is it 22 for the VTEC pressure sensor, or 21 for the actual solenoid? And yes that pressure sensor has to be connected for VTEC to work.

ok i read another thread and i understand how the pressure switch bypass works now, i think the problem with my vtec is that my speedo doesnt work, anyone near vincennes, indiana have an extra one?, lol.
