Default HPDE track day suspension?

I have a 00 civic si and have done a little research about suspension setups for the track. I don't daily drive this car so I'm not concerned at all about "ride comfort". I've talked to a couple NASA Honda Challenge drivers and they have told me that to start off buying the expensive "bling bling" coilovers may not be the best way to go. One setup I've been recomended was: Koni 30 series dampers, sleeve-type coilovers w/ Eibach ERS 800 lb/in front and 1200 lb/in rear springs. Does anyone that has extensive track experiance with either the EK or EM1 have any other GOOD suggestions?

Koni yellow OTS and ground control sleeves in whatever rates you are comfortable with are a great way to start. GC's come with eibach springs and the perch design is great. Its what I run on my autocross EJ6 hatchback

So basically they told you to get Koni race shocks and Ground Control kit with custom rates? No way?!?!?! Why would they tell you to pick up a good entry level race set up like that? For the price range check out AMR http://www.amrengineering.com/ custom valved to the rates you want.
