I'd be all about a wheelie bar if I were them, the wheelie looks cool and all, but I'd have no desire to be looking straight up at the sky w/ that much HP under me.

These cars in these videos are the reason why I love drag racing so much. Heads up, radial tire, all out, racing.........One of these days Im going to have to build myself one (as soon as I hit the lottery).........

 

It doesn't look as much like a street car with a wheelie bar hanging out the back.... :-p

lol, id rather be hittin the wheelie bar than the wall or my suspension. isn't the point to go as fast as u can?

The object is to go as fast as possible in a car that appears to be full street car. I wouldnt put a wheelie bar on them it defeats the whole purpose.....not to mention this track, from what I heard, hooks really well. These guys are full aware of what is going to happen if the car wants to hook. Thats all part of the fun and excitement. No wheelie bar, street tires, power windows, power doorlocks, full interior, drive it to the local cruise in, then load it up and take it to the track and run some mid 4's............

Ive been saying that for about 10 years now. Thing is, I would not be happy with a Mustang unless it ran in the 4's in the 1/8th. We know how much that would cost not to mention to keep it running at that level.......

Honestly, I almost had my car sold and had my eye on a Fox Body....then I blew my car up again. Always a deal ruiner!!

 

This was actually a Nitrovideo production. Props to them. We hope to make it out to a couple of these races this year!!

Im not going to say they are a dime a dozen over here in the south, but they are pretty dang common over here!

The 275 drag radial class is pretty big over here as well. Move on over here man, lets build us one!!! haha
