Yep, friday night i was racing a 3000GT VR4, pulled ahead of him in 3rd gear and bounced rev limiter and BOOM shot oil all over his car and whoever was behind me, pulled over and found a hole in my block in cylinder #3.

#3 already had low compression numbers, so i knew it would happen, just not this soon.

that was 11 psi on a zc w/cartech fmu and inline pump untuned.

i will be pulling the motor apart soon to find out all the damage.

Ouch.. I'm paranoid now runnin my 7psi. Maybe I'll adjust that WG down to 6 or so for a while until the bad Karma clears the air.

just curious...did it blow because the stock rev-limiter cuts the fuel and not the ignition and thus detonated?

noooo i'm not that sorry for you... why because you should of had it tuned and you knew you has bad comp#. I did you have fun wasteing your money. Not trying to be a gerk(even though i sound like one right now) Just have fun on your next ZC ot whatever and learn from your mistakes.

What size injectors with what ratio of FMU? I'm guessing stock injectors with a 12:1? In that case, at 11 psi you would theoretically see 11(12) + 38 = 170 psi at the injectors. There's no way the injectors could take that much (if the fuel pump could even try to hold that much pressure). I'd say find a better method of fuel delivery for your next motor, or it'll die the same way as this one.

I bet there are at LEAST 20 people with ZC turbo's that are running way faster then both of us.

AbaZ has got to be the fastest currently.

Civ-JDM, yea, all i need is the motor, how much you want for it and where are you at?

and i wasnt using a shitty Vortech 12:1 FMU either, i was using an adjustable cartech FMU/Regulator, you can adjust how much fuel goes in static and under boost. oh yea and stock injectors with an msd inline pump.

yea, i learn from my mistakes, but i didnt really care about this motor too much kinda hope it would last at least until october or november, but oh well **** happens.
