Default 99-2000 conversion

I was told that you need a new harness or something for the headlights on a conversion.

I have a 96--i got the whole front end of a 99 and the only thing i'm worried about is the headlights not fitting right :/ Any info would be greatly appreciated

It should be the same. Your worried about the head light bulbs right? they're the same from 96-00 the bulbs are 9003/H3 (3 prong) so it should work.

I'm not quit sure to be honest with ya. I rebuilt accords so the whole conversion thing new to me on civics. I was just told by a friend that I needed something special to make the headlights fit. He said the dimensions on the 99 and 96 headlights are slightly different :/

You need the 99-00 headlights themselves, not the bulbs. The 96-98 headlights will not fit.

^^ no you do not, all you need to do is trim the bumper mount and re drill the hole.

Surprising how few people know 96-98/99-00 headlights are different.

96-98 = round

99-00 = sharp

^^^ Hey, i knew they were different, but i like your pictures

As for wiring, both generations of civic use H4 bulbs...no need to even touch the wiring!

Haha, just wanted to clarify that for people. You MUST get the Bumper, F. Fenders, headlights & Hood to do the conversion. Personally I like 96-98 front ends better. 99-00 are nice but I wouldn't convert. I like the 96-98 headlights, but i like the 99-00 bumper. Would be a nice combo, someone needs to do the body work and do that sort of conversion someday.

DAMN never saw that before but not a bad idea. if the work is done properly it will look good like in the pic. Someone that does plastice welding should be able to knock that out the park. might even save you some money, instead of doin a full conversion. not bad

That is badass, would be really cheap to do too. if you had your bumper and picked up a 99-00. If i ever buy a 6th Gen. Civic I may try that someday, thanks for the pic.
