550cc Injectors to big?
I have a B18 NA motor and my car is off to get remapped shortly and I should be around 200whp/230bhp.
I only have standard 240cc in now and just wondering as I've been offered them at a good price whether 550cc's will work fine? I've heard about idling issues but unsure.
Should I go for these?
Thanks
Alan

As long as you have the correct tuning management to be able to utilize those injectors (no VAFC or other map "trick" devices) you should be fine. They are a little on the large size, but they shouldn't be a problem. I myself am using MR2 3S-GTE 430cc injectors, and have them idle and perform like stock without any issues whatsoever. But I also made sure I had a better fuel pump. With 550cc injectors, its going to really work that stock pump.
Yeah I have an Apexi Power FC which I will be getting remapped when the injectors go in. (as ive just got new cams and valvetrain too)
Thats good to hear that they shouldnt be a problem, my tuner said he should be able to get it to idle 99% like stock (m22x cams too) - Will I do any damage using a stock fuel pump for a few months until I get a walbro or the likes?

Like Shodan said the 550's r alil big for what ur needs r at present time and on the fuel injector worksheet ur only using them at 57%. U can safely use them to 80% but if u have bigger plans for the future and ur getting a good deal on them, then they should work just fine, don't know about with the Apexi power FC tho. GL
