S2000's are horrible... Get a prelude and go to the prelude forum. I know it says I own a 2005 s2000 and that I'm the happiest person in the world, and love every second of driving my S, and how owning an S is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Trust me go with the prelude! And leave before you get bashed with the 'search' post immediately!!!! Run! Run! Run!

I have an H22 prelude and just purchaced an AP1 2 days ago. The AP1 is better in every performance catagory. Just the driving feel of the AP1 alone is amazing.
Lets be honest here, the S2000 is a 2 seater and the Prelude has 4 seats. But anyone that has owned a 4th gen Prelude will tell you that the rear seats are their for insurance purposes only. VERY rarely I'd have someone in the back seat and they complained the whole time. Oh yeah, the trunk is smaller on the S2K.
Also you have to factor in the Prelude curse. They ALWAYS have something wrong with them. I speak from experiece.

I gave the car to someone (yes gave) he put in a new motor. 2 weeks later that h23 blew and it took the tranny with it.
The only mod that car really needed was a ****ing exorcism
Could just be bad luck. Could be that it was my first car, and I made some mistakes don't get me wrong I loved every second of it when it was working. It'd be unfair to say not to buy the car cause some people have problems. People are still buying prius' aren't they?
The prelude was the Honda FWD s2000 of the 90's imo. Years ahead of it's time in styling, and efficient engine output.
I can't think of a car in it's time that was sexier. It was aggressive looking, but bubbly. It wasn't square like other cars. Of course cars like the rx7 and supra were gorgeous, but those aren't even close in terms of being in the same class

The Prelude can hold it's own even though it's FWD. Oversteer can be produced very easily with the ATTS in the SH model. I have never had major problems with my car either and I drive the crap out of it. Regular maintenance and that's it. I think it's a great DD and a fun autox car

Mind you if someone would trade me their S2000 for my Prelude I would not think twice about it

In terms of pure performance, there is no comparison. The S2000 wins by a mile. Before you get a Prelude you should get a Civic or an Integra instead. The Prelude holds less stuff in it and at the same time weighs more than a Civic or an Integra does. That isn't the best trade off in terms of performance or practicality.
