Default how easy is this?

hey /o/ how easy should this project be? i want to put the switch for my after market fog lights right in the place of that covered spot. will this be hard? i have the lights wired up and the switch already but i want to move the switch from my glove box to that spot so its more easily accessible.

That blank rectangular spot is where you should put it. Take off the console and take off the plastic and u can pop that out.

That location is MEANT for the oem fog light switch, you can easily drill a hole in it and install it

To add to it - if it's anything like the 94-97 if you take off that black bezel you can pop that little blanking plate out from the back. It's just held on by two clips

You can take off the blank itself using a plastic scribe tool or a small flatblade screwdriver.

If you want to be sure to prevent any damage, the defroster button will come out (has a slight indentation on the bottom) to fit a small screwdriver to pry out that switch. Then you can reach around with your finger and push the blank out. Much easier than finding and taking a dozen or so trim screws out to remove the bezel.

Having said that, you'll have to get the wiring to the switch up there which will be easier with the bezel off.
