So first off the car is a 92 civic lx and everything is stock.

Every time i turned the car on i would here the relay click and fuel pump prime, but now when i turn the key on it just keeps the CEL on and the fuel pump buzz noise takes like 5 minutes... and I can't start the car until it does. After waiting a random amount of time it will prime and then start right up. Wtf is wrong with it? Is it the fuel pump or some relay?

 

weird...can't pinpoint it but unless you have a wicked whine while driving it your pump isn't bad. check connections, fuses, relays, annnd battery power.

 

sometimes it works but more often now it takes like 5 minutes of waiting on it

start with a new relay.

Yup, replace it and see if that helps.
