IAC IAT problems?
got my y7 running but now thowing codes for iac and iat. took off my iac and cleaned it and still throwing the code. o and also surging. but my friend said wen he did this swap he had to run the iat wires directly to the wires off the ecu? is this true? any ideas?
ok i have a 97 honda civic ex we just replaced the motor it has a 2000 d16y7 on the harness i had it was a 3 pin iac so we had to cut and put a 2 pin plug i found on here were it said disregard the orange wire . ok so ihooked the blue and black wire and the yellow and black wire and thats in and its not pickin up the iac any advice?
TO THE OP
-What ecu are you running?
-Did you convert to obd2 properly?
-Are you running the y7 engine harness or the stock EF harness?
Anyways if your idle is surging when you plug in the IACV, then either your wiring is wrong, or your IACV is dead. The IAT code will only come on if its either broken or the wiring is wrong.
