Oil Pan Problems Need help ASAP

Hello everyone, so i have a 2000 civic ex stock with a d16y8. I was changing my oil today and noticed that the treads in my oil pan are stripped and causing the oil to drip out when the plug is in(very slow tho). My question is i think i have a few ways to fix this. I can change out the oil pan for a new one. If i do this how hard is it for me to do by myself? Anyone know of a DIY on this? I also hear you can rethread the hole. If so how hard is this to do and what size would i need to rethread it with. Thanks for all the help!
Teflon would be a temporary fix, as every time you change your oil the threads will get more and more damaged. So there are two options,
1: Get a new oil pan and install it. Pretty straight forward installation. You remove the exhaust from underneath the pan, the transmission support bracket underneath, the little splash shield covering the flex plate or flywheel (depending on whether it's a 5 speed or automatic), then the oil pan itself.
2. Remove the oil pan and drill and re-tap the threads to accept a larger bolt size. I say remove the pan because you don't want to run the risk of getting metal shavings inside the pan while it's still on the vehicle. After you re-thread the pan, then give it a good wash to get out any shavings or sludge that may be in there. Installation is reverse the removal procedure.

Sounds good. How hard is it to take off the oil pan, 1 being changing your oil 10 being engine swap. I have a 200 piece basic tool set, jack and jack stands. Will i need more than that?

Will a d16y5 oil pan fit on mine? im guessing it will, the only difference if the intake many on it and that wont effect it, am i right?

Ya i thought it was a pretty easy job to do. Do you know DIYs on it or is it pretty straight forward. Just take off down pipe, tranny mount(how many are there just 1?) and unbolt the oil pan, swap out and repeat? Do i need anything else, like a seal or anything? Thanks for all the help man...
The hardest part will be breaking the exhaust manifold bolts. Heat and rust, not a good combination. A good amount of Pb Blaster will help. It may be easier to just remove the entire manifold, instead of breaking it apart.
You will need to get a decent brand oil pan gasket, and I would suggest a new plug as well. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE PAN BOLTS. They don't require much torque; a nice, quick call to a Dealer could be made for the requirements.
