Can my air compressor handle a DA sander?
I want to get a dual action sander to do some occasional sanding, I have a 30 gal compressor, but it says that it'll only do 6 cfm @90 psi, and most sanders I've seen, require like 9 cfm @ 90 psi.
If I do get one, am I just going to have to wait every minute for the compressor to refill, or will it even work at all? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

No one, huh.
I'm just wondering if it would be useable at all? Anyone have a sander that they use with a smaller air compressor? Does it work ok?

You would be ok as long as you give the compressor breaks from time to time so it doesn't overheat. It will be running the entire time pretty much. And you would be best to turn down the pressure some or adjust the DA down some, otherwise it would be very hard on the compressor.
i wanted to know the same thing, i bought a DA and took it home and tested it out. i could use it for a minute or two before the compressors air pressure died out and i had to take a break and let the compressor "catch up" then use the DA again. i just returned the DA the same afternoon.
