ARGHHH!!! Broke the TPS during the ZC swap :(
So I successfully put in the ZC by myself unfortunately I learned a few things the hard way. I need to re-pin the Dizzy plug and buy the 84 Accord top rad hose.
DOES IT MATTER THE ORDER THAT THE 2 CAM SENSOR WIRES GO TO THE CAM SENSOR? Is it specific or can i attach the wires in any order (ie: as long as both are connected)
#1 - Remove the front motor mount from the tranny, this allows motor to seat properly faster without having the mount bump around and not let the engine descend, then just reattach it when you secure the two side mounts.
#2 - Take off the TPS
During a vigorous see-saw battle to get the motor in the intake manifod jammed on the firewall and that was the end of my TPS. I thoroughly cracked the plastic housing, but the pins were still good, but pressed flatt against the surface.. so I sai "HEY! I can straighten and match the pins to the wiring harness, no problem. I took out my needle nose pliers and gently begin pryin the Sensors pins back to their original positions. first one done, second one done, third one ARGHH!!!! .... snapped as soon as I moved it with the pliers
OH FUDGE!!!!! So right now I have the TPS plug plugged into 2/3 of the tps sensor pins. Im sure this wont work, but I dunno if the car will idle any better than having NONE of them attached at all.
Too bad the ZC motor TPS was completely broken off. Now what car can I get a TPS sensor off of from the junkyard? Can someone please provide me with a model and year please (besides the 1991 Civic Si) will any other TPS from a 88-91 Civic/CRX work as long as its multi port injection? Your help is appreciated, I wanna get this car running asap now that the hard stuff is done.

You can probably pick up a throttlebody with TPS for 35 or 40 bucks. The TPS is not sold seperately by Honda. But you may be able to find one.

I'm gonna remove my TB and try to solder a pin onto the TPS.... just the outer casing has cracked off and the Plug still fits nug on the 2/3 pins. Im gonna try to fix that broken pin first. Doesnt seem too difficult. cause I know Junkyards around here do not part out engines.. they are sold as a whole
you rarely can buy a TB or intake mani etcetc ... but I will try to locate one.
