Why would you need a hose?

It's in a pretty wierd position. Looks like I'm going to have to run a hose out to a funnel. Is there some other way to do it?

They make funnels with extra long hoses.
I picked one up at a local auto parts store for like $2.00

I just filled from the vent tube on the top of the trans. there's a black rubber cap on it that you can access from the engine bay.

How many days did it take? That hole is real small.

wasn't that bad. find some tubing that will fit over the vent tube and not into. went fine for me.

I just changed my tranny fluid two hours ago. I used the $1.99 funnel with a hose and a 3 inch long piece of clear vinyl tubing (3/8ths ID) from the end of the funnel hose to the vent tube.

When I drained the fluid I removed both the drain plug and the 'filler' plug. After drining I put the drain plug back in and then put in the first 2 quarts through the vent tube. It went in fairly fast. I then put the filler plug back in and added the last .3 quart. That went in pretty slow. I did it that way because the car was jacked up at an angle and I wanted to get a complete fill.

Good luck
John
