Is white lithium (Assembly lube) good for throw out bearings? If not, what would you suggest?

 

this is a forced induction thread not tech...
anyways, do NOT put grease on the throw out bearing, no need to. its sealed and has enough grease on the inside
and some threads on "changing" one will advise u of the same thing. i just last saturday changed my tranny
and throw out bearing while i was at it, didnt grease it at all

 

I didn't know you grease them but if you do then yes white lithium grease

 

I know the bearing itself if sealed and greased. Maybe I should have been more specific, I was refering the the trans shaft that the tob rides on. What grease is suppose to be used for the shaft?

 

Light coat of honda's high-temp urea grease on the fork, shaft splines, and inside of the bearing.

 

I use a high temp grease.
Put a light coat on it.
I also use this graphite stuff on the splines

ive been using the same tube of wheel bearing grease on mine in all my cars for about 5 years and ive never had a problem.

Honda urea grease FTW. A little jar goes a LONG way and you will find a ton of other places to use it.
