Driveshasft Shop NEW B & K -Series 5.9/Pro Upgrade..
At 1500ft/lbsof tq stronger than the 5.9's, the new DSS Pro level upgrade is a must for the 26inch Outlaw_ish race car! Avalable as an upgrade for the B and K series enthusiast, it offers added strength and durability! The intermadiate shaft is a 28 spline design and is over .150 inch thicker!!!! The kit obviously includes a spool to accept the larger Intermedate and as you can tell, the intermediate slips through the spool and actually makes the driver side of the tranny a male.
The intermediate bar will fit the OEM mounting bracket which will easily come off the old intermediate.(a new one is cheap anyay).......
I will be installing this setup into our new setup next week. Bug thumbup to Frank, Lee and the DSS crew for keeping up with our needs!!!....

Hmmm...(running back to the shop to check if Tony snuck in last night and snagged our Pro Level set off of our car...)
Nope! Ours are still there! You guys are gonna love em. We got them last year from Frank after a few misfortunes with the 5.9's. They have been good ever since.

Same ones I have been running. So far, the only ones that have held up! They are definately sick! At PRI, i saw that they have an upgrade where they broach a Quaife diff for the intermediate shaft and the right axle. I will have them asap. After almost tagging the wall with the spool, I am done with that.
I did break a set of the 1st gen pro axles at the first outlaw race. The problem wasn't that they weren't strong enough, it was that there was a part that was machined wrong. The problem has obviously been resolved and the axles have also been improved in design at the same time.
I see Miller has the DSS Quaife as well, I hope all that works out because I can't tell you how excited I am about not having to run a spool anymore!
