Default This sound like a fuel pump about to die?

When I bought the car I noticed a slight humming sound at idle but it sounded like it was coming from the bay, when i listened carefully at everything i believed it was the power steering pump since it has a slight hum to it, but it wasnt loud enough to account for what I was hearing. In the driver seat it still sounds like its coming from the engine bay, but upon further inspection if i set in the back seat at idle or stick my head under the car to where it would be under the rear seat its waayyy louder, obviously coming from the fuel pump area. (Makes me wonder why i'm even asking this question or making this thread)

But the sound is a very very noticeably loud humming/whining and it will fluctuate every few seconds to a more low toned droning hum and then go back to the higher pitched sound. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge to see if the pressure fluctuates or anything out of the ordinary, since the engine is a complete stock b16a so felt no need.

The car runs fine and i havent had any problems out of it, except for some times when its cold it will take alot more turn overs sometimes than normal to finally crank, sometimes it starts right up, sometimes it does take awhile and I never really put two and two together.

So does this sound like the fuel pumps about to take a big **** on me? If so i plan to just pickup a walbro 190lph, already have a B&M adjustable fpr thats going on my ls/vtec build im doing that i can go ahead and swap over if itll be needed.

So also just to clarify since im pretty sure most replies will say its the fuel pump, will i need to install the adj. FPR if i install a 190lph and get a gauge or will the stock regulator be enough to keep the fuel pressure from rising to much with the 190.

From my searching this sounds like the problem 100% but I figured i'd be certain of it and this would just be a new thread for future problems for people to search and find answers to there similar question possibly

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE***

Updating this for future reference incase anyone else for some reason needs this info.

You can use a EK stock fuel pump in a 92-95/94-01 integra if you use the EK fuel pump the EK fuel pump sock and the EK vibration rubber piece on the bottom of the fuel pump in junction with your 92-95 civic / 94-01 integra fuel pump bracket. The EK bracket is different and wont work. You just sway the EK parts over to the EG bracket, and the wiring is still the same though.

No more loud whining BS for me, worked out great.
