Bottom end help
I have a 94 integra that started burning oil I talked to a few people and was told to do a compression check to see if it could be rings and the compression checked out good so it was concluded I needed valve guides so I swapped out my gsr head for my b16 head I had that was freshly ported and polished and had a 5 angle valve job with new stock valves and guides. Put the head on and car is still smoking and now I need rings. My original idea is to do itr pistons easy and cheap way I thought til the machinist told me it was expensive to do the machining to make this work and not safe. A piston and rods set up with all the bearings and machine work will be 1600 and I don't have that. Can I use factory rods with high comp aftermarket pistons inexpensively and reliably? I want to do 11:1 cr figured get some good power and still daily drive the car. What all needs to be done I'm not sure I'm clueless with motors I'm a custom metal fab guy motors make me crazy., I searched this site and still am not sure. I would like to be hooked up with a shop near the Philly pa area that I could go through to get a concrete inexpensive solution. I've gone through 3 turbo motors because of bad engine building not on my part, but bad decisions on how to build it and this one was suppose be something basic so I did it myself and it failed again. Need some help here anything will help I'd rather talk to a shop in person that would be the best way I think. Thanks for reading this novel I really appreciate the help in advance.
