What to look for when shopping for bodywork?
I want to repaint my EBP EM1. It's in dear need of a makeover. I plan on painting the entire vehicle. My concerns arise from a sub par paint job I got on my EJ8 several years ago. I gave the guy $1.2k. Unfortunately I noticed over spray in some places. Also some ***** rubbed into my rear bumper and the paint looked like it was cracking. Seems like it only had a super thin layer of paint. Not at all as durable as OEM paint.
I'm shopping around and I want to know what to look for and what to say on my search?

the paint on the bumper cracked because the painter did not add in a flex additive into the paint on your bumpers. without that, when the bumper bends, the paint will crack. oem finishes allow for a little flexing before it cracks. its just one of those things that makes a good paint job last longer..
i would just try to talk to some people that have gone to bodyshops in your area. if you find a few guys that went to the same place and basically all had good experiences with a certain shop then i would go there.
i would do that through a local car club forum or even talk to some people at a local car show if you can.
