antifreeze in my itr trans?
It started makin a noise outa no where. Thought it was the throw out bearing so we replaced it but the noise is still there. I checked the trans fluid to see if it was low but Wen I took out the screw to check antifreeze nd like watery oil came out. How did antifreeze get in? N how do i fix da problem
Could have leaked in through the VSS hole. Have you done any work to the cooling system where you let coolant run down the transmission case?
wait...what?
1. If it's not an automatix transmission or a manual cable transmission, coolant will not be in the transmission unless you put it there. Whirring noise is probably the input shaft bearing, it's a very common problem with older honda transmissions.
2. Are you saying you drained the coolant and there was oil in it? Do a leak down test on your motor because you probably popped a headgasket.
