I have a 98 acura integra and the fenders got rattle canned with clear coat and now looks like crap dont know why its like that but was wandering how could i get rid of it without ruining the stock paint job that i have now is there a way to take it off please say yes

 

if it got rattle canned over the original paint, the stock paint job is ruined, you will have to sand it down till you see the original paint. You can get a DA at any local hardware store that is electric if you dont have an air compressor and buzz through it with 220.

 

maybe try lacquer thinner with a rag hopefully they didnt sant it before thay caned it. make sure you us egloves and know what your doing

 

yea thats wat im scared of i know it wasnt sanded but im jus scared of ruining the paint job i mean wat im gonna do to it isnt gonna make it worst but and when u say DA wat are u refering to and wats the best way to do it cuz i only have one chance on this cuz once the stock paint is gone its gone

 

could use sum really good advice or a write up on what to do really scared on what to do cuz again only one time to do this

 

dual action sander with 220 grit, regardless of how you remove it, the car needs to be resprayed
